Cancellation policy

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods. The customer bears the costs of returning the goods during the 14-day withdrawal period, unless the item is defective or the error is on our part.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, a clear statement is sufficient (e.g., by email to support@ottocast.de ). You can use our attached sample withdrawal form for this purpose, but this is not mandatory. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient that you send your notification of exercising your right of withdrawal before the 14-day period expires.

Consequences of the revocation

If you withdraw from this contract, we will refund all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs (excluding additional costs resulting from a different delivery method chosen by you).

The refund will be processed immediately, at the latest within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice. We will use the same payment method for the refund that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise. You will not incur any fees.

We may refuse to refund you until we have received the goods back or you have provided proof that you have returned the goods, whichever occurs first.

Return of goods

You are obliged to return the goods to us immediately and at the latest within 14 days of notifying us of your cancellation. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the deadline expires.

You, as the customer, bear the direct costs of return shipping unless expressly agreed otherwise. You are only liable for any potential loss in value of the goods if this is due to handling beyond what is necessary to ascertain their nature, characteristics, and functioning.

Compensation for value upon cancellation

You are liable for any diminished value of the goods if this diminished value is due to handling of the goods that was not necessary for inspecting their condition, properties, and functionality (§ 357a BGB). Use of the goods necessary for inspection – such as would be possible in a retail store – remains unaffected. Damage or significant signs of use beyond this entitle us to claim reasonable compensation up to the full value of the goods, provided you have been properly informed of your right of withdrawal.

Exclusions from the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts with consumers who reside outside the European Union at the time of conclusion of the contract and whose sole delivery address is also outside the EU.

General information

  • Please avoid damaging or soiling the goods. Please return the goods to us in their original packaging, including all accessories and packaging materials. If necessary, use protective outer packaging. If you no longer have the original packaging, please ensure adequate protection against transport damage by using suitable packaging.
  • Please do not return the goods to us freight collect.
  • Please note that the aforementioned points 1-2 are not prerequisites for the effective exercise of the right of withdrawal.
